Customer Requirements
When the clients moved into this house the existing kitchen was old and tired. There was a large peninsular with overhead cabinets blocking the view from the kitchen to the dining space, making the space feel small and dark.
We replaced this with a new peninsular which had better storage and included breakfast bar seating. The old dining area housed a large freestanding dresser and second fridge.
We installed a new larger fridge freezer within the kitchen space and in the dining space we installed a new built-in dresser matching the new kitchen, bringing the two spaces together as one linked space.
As part of this project, we installed double doors leading out to the driveway, brightening the dining area and giving easy access to the garden.
We levelled the previously uneven floor and the clients chose a herringbone floor which runs through the kitchen, dining and utility space providing continuity and a feeling of open space.
This painted shaker kitchen looks stunning in dried lawn.
