Customer Requirements
The open plan kitchen has been around for some time now and the concept of creating a kitchen design that easily flows
into another area is something that is still very popular, the client had a great eye for detail and knew exactly the type of
space they wanted to create for this project. From the initial concept the use of a feature tall area was high on the wish list,
an image the client had from a magazine showcasing floating units with a wall covered in feature cladding helped us shape
the final concept. When creating the design, it became clear that we couldn’t satisfy the brief for feature finishes and
cabinets with only Hacker, so we mixed in some items from Callerton too! A great result on reflection, the contract between
the walnut and satin white works wonderfully in the space. It’s a common misconception that we must create a design using
all new items, this is a perfect example of a client using their own ovens, fridge freezer, dishwasher and hobs; the addition of
an Air Uno ceiling extractor completed the requirements. The result, a fun multifunctional space with lots of character, using
many colours and textures blended together perfectly.
