AN OPEN-PLAN CONTEMPORARY SHAKER KITCHEN
Customer Requirements
When we met, the customers had a separate kitchen and dining room. The dining room was rarely used and was quite a dark space. We suggested that we look at taking the wall out between the two rooms and blocking up a doorway. This would enable us to create a free flowing, open space, and a much lighter living area.
It was important that the kitchen had plenty of work surface but also room for a large fridge and freezer. We designed the tall appliances in a bank next to an existing nib to give them the feeling of being built into the wall slightly. This meant that we could have all base cabinets on the opposite side, without wall cabinets, to keep the room feeling spacious. This allowed us to maximise the space available whilst keeping an airy, uncluttered feel to the room.
Customer Feedback
“Buying a kitchen is not something you do that regularly. What should be an exciting purchase can be made quite painful by being subjected to crude sales techniques and suspicion of many of the providers and their ability to deliver quality. This was not the case with Four Seasons. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. There was a genuine desire to understand what we wanted to achieve and lots of patience as we arrived at the design and then started picking all the elements, supported by great advice. Also, through the buying process you got a good sense that the delivery would also be good, and it was. We still have the original 3D images of the kitchen and it has been delivered exactly as promised and to a very high quality. The whole experience has been quite outstanding. We have recommended Four Seasons to a number of people who went on to purchase kitchens and will continue to do so.”
