Customer Requirements

The brief for this kitchen was to create a social hub, where family and friends could interact and socialise with cooking at the heart of it all. They also wanted to create a place where they could relax without the need for formal dining.

When we met the client, an extension was planned to create an open plan living, dining, kitchen space. We came in to help them look at how best to plan this space, to help them create their dream kitchen. We had lots of chats about what was important to them, to help us really understand what they wanted to achieve.

It was clear from the start that cooking and socialising were top priorities, so we designed the kitchen with a large centre island. This houses the vented induction hob and the breakfast bar seating, allowing the cook to work in the central social space – being able to prep, cook, chat and entertain. With the ovens and sink just behind them it means everything is within a few steps of each other, creating a concise but well thought out working zone.

The island has plenty of worktop space for prep, the ovens have worktop space both in front of them and to the side, the dishwasher has plenty of worktop space above making it easy to load the appliance.

The wall cabinets above the sink were designed to store the crockery so they didn’t have far to go when coming out of the dishwasher. The fridge and freezer are recessed into a niche just off the island, near the breakfast bar area – making it accessible for guests to help themselves to drinks without coming into the working area of the kitchen.

The island was positioned in front of the new bifold doors that look out onto the beautiful garden, making this kitchen not only a very practical space but also a very light and relaxing place to be.

We are so pleased and happy how it’s turned out. So many of our friends say it’s their dream kitchen and of course, I love cooking in it most nights; particularly weekends.

It’s such a fabulous space and perfect for our family and amazing for having friends around and cooking/socialising. I love all the clever storage options. It’s been fantastic in warm weather having the whole of the back of the house opened out to the garden via the bi-fold doors. You have done a fantastic job and we are so pleased we found 4Seasons!

We were recommended to Four Seasons by a friend. We were also recommended to Howdens by our builder. We had an initial meeting with both, but even after that first session I knew I only wanted Four Seasons to design my kitchen and politely said ‘no thanks’ to Howdens. Four Seasons left me with a feeling that what they could do was a bit special. I wasn’t disappointed.

The next meeting with Donna was fantastic and exciting. She had designed an initial concept that surpassed our expectations, and it was great adding our personal touches.

There are some tough decisions to make when you choose your kitchen – they can be difficult. Time and time again we asked Donna ‘what would you do if this was your kitchen?’, and her advice was always helpful in our decision making. They have lots of material samples that help guide you in those difficult choices and the computational render brings those choices to life. I lost count how many times Donna updated it for us! Not once were we made to feel pressured into picking a particular style or product.

Once we had decided on our kitchen, the next steps were explained clearly. The contract is devoid of legal jargon and small print. Again, the way that we were treated left us feeling confident in our decisions and a feeling that we were in good hands. Even at the point of the site survey, Steve and Tom left me with a feeling of being in good hands. They also spoke to my builder to check dimensions and ensure everything was in order.

I would urge anyone considering Four Season not to overlook them. They absolutely nailed the brief that I gave them and their knowledge, service and the way the conduct themselves throughout the whole journey was exemplary.
If I have to buy another kitchen again in the future, I would only consider Four Seasons. I would absolutely recommend them.”
